About Quinta da Moscadinha

The Story

Located in the small village of Camacha, famous for its traditions and folklore, this 19th century house gets its current name in 2019, from the Moscadinha herbal liqueur, a family recipe from the north side of the island.

In the past, this infusion was widely used by the locals, as it was believed to have medicinal properties, due to being made of various local plants and spices in agricultural rum.

Here, the scenery is peaceful and romantic, and the surrounding idyllic landscape invites to relax in a close relationship with Nature. Beautiful gardens, among centenary trees and diverse flowers, enrich the common areas of leisure and rest.

In this welcoming space, guests will be able to enjoy unique experiences, allowing them to take a set of happy and enriching memories.

The lively capital of the island, the city of Funchal, is just 15 minutes away (by car). Nearby are links to the public transport network.

Quinta da Moscadinha welcomes and invites you to stay with us and feel the nature!
